Behringer Edison modification:
The Edison is a fantastic, very well designed stereo image correction device.
The modification we do reduces the noise floor slightly for consumer use. The original design was intended for use with professional +4dB signal levels, but consumer devices typically operate at -10dB.
We install capacitors to reduce radio frequency interference (RFI) on all connectors and improve the RFI bypass on most op amps. We also install a ground wire to all controls to further reduce RFI and hum.
We install spike suppression capacitors into the LED drive circuitry and improve grounding to suppress the very subtle but audible “popping” sound introduced by the blinking of the phase meter LED.
If required, we replace the resistors used at the Ambiance control with a precisely matched pair in order to create a very high-precision stereo image.
We thoroughly clean all controls in the machine and test all functions.
$96 includes all updates and return shipping ($110 for customers on the west coast).
