Be aware that other problems can exist that make the control board seem problematic. The real issue with 388 is machines do often have problems with in board soldering cracks at plug connectors in main section where power supply boards become intermittent. Especially at back panel heat sink where important regulator transistors also heat up and loosen soldering cause incomplete voltages which are distributed to many boards. This as well at main board base connector which all channel boards and function boards plug in… It is a problem on so many 388s causing intermittent channel signal loss or sometimes unit will not power up completely, this issue must be looked at as it is a common problem that Vince must always fix. Known issues on the board are bad Marcon label caps on the control board or any board. DO NOT DISPOSE OF YOUR BOARD AS IT CAN BE REPAIRED.
