I can fix this issue. I only sell low use things for this reason. Oddly not a lot of tube color in this design, the Aphex mic pre had more. I often refurbish old certain ADC, Sony, Radio Shack EQ, because of "cap and coil" design does effect vintage thickness (also because of single ended class A transistor design is like a tube character thing). If you need the best tube EQ, quality of controls, headroom etc., it's the ART Pro Channel (I own a few). 90db noise floor and it is really capable of wide or super sharp filters. It uses full size parts and pieces like old Yamaha and Tascam products. I can do a mod on this which allows honest variable tube harmonic level and phase. You can truly dial it in. FYI, Around the database you will often see us describe the condition of units on a scale of 1-10. #10 would mean the product is new from one of our suppliers, such as Behringer, Audio Technica, etc. #9 means the product is in perfect condition but is used, #8 implies there are some minor cosmetic scratches but unit is mechanically perfect, and so on and so forth.

Clean all controls, switches, 2 times. Aside of the fact these equalizers are on of the best ever designed, be aware, most PE-40 if roaded or excessively used do require in depth cleaning of all controls, switches, sometimes replacement of controls if damaged. This can require some time consuming dismantling. Some people want these in perfect working condition, others might find problems at bargain prices.
